I chose this song for the Iuoma Novel in Brazil, by talking about friends.
The Iuoma Novel, for me, is a reunion of friends of the world, very significant and powerful.
As seems to be the strength of this music.
Thank you.
Alexandre

Here's the lyrics in Portuguese and English:

Cigarra

Milton Nascimento

Porque você pediu uma canção para cantar
Como a cigarra arrebenta de tanta luz
E enche de som o ar

Porque a formiga é a melhor amiga da cigarra
Raízes da mesma fábula que ela arranha
Tece e espalha no ar

Porque ainda é inverno em nosso coração
Essa canção é para cantar
Como a cigarra acende o verão

zizzi zi zizi....

Grasshopper
Milton Nascimento

Because you asked for a song to sing
As the grasshopper bursts of light so
And fill the air sound
Because the ant is the best friend of the cicada

Roots of the same fable that she scratches
Weaves and spreading in the air

Because it is still winter in our hearts
This song is to sing
As the buzzer lights up the summer

zizzi zizi zi zi zi....

Thanks Carla!
I also really like your artwork/mailart!
This song was composed by a Brazilian singer well-known: Miltom Nascimento.
This song speaks of the friendship between a grasshopper and an ant.
In the video, it is sung and played by Simone, another great Brazilian singer.

Here, here are two links, one of the older version and other current 30 years after the original recording:

This music, really is very beautiful.
She speaks of the friendship between an ant and a grasshopper.
The "si si si si si si si ..." is the music of the grasshopper.
