Dear Robin,

I am very happy. I sent a collage without an envelope and was worried. Next time I will send in an envelope.

I wish you and your loved ones a peaceful, creative autumn!

Thanks a lot for the kind welcome! Even though I dropped out of Mail Art for awhile, I never stopped making faux postage, collages, or rubber stamp art. I made some faux postcard art for a Route 66 photo show I did in 2000, and a couple of years later a boss of mine wanted me to learn a shopping cart software program. I had been daydreaming a lot about making art stamps to sell so I made the postmarks from my art show pieces into rubber stamps and then made enough designs to get a whole sheet manufactured. It was so much fun I've continued to get sheets made from time to time. I'm going to check out your page and links to see what Mail  Artists are doing in the present day! Thank you very much!

A 25th anniversary book for "Fluxus Bucks"? Now there's an idea - maybe ExPostoFacto will create something. The Cascadia Artpost commemoration will consist of a postcard and artistamp sheet.

Robin - Anything you want to send me - recent or vintage, banal or intriguing. I've been scanning tickets sent as they come in, and will work at turning them into artistamps at the end of 2019. A few people have even modified their tickets. Do you like dioramas? ~ Jack @ Cascadia Artpost

I look forward to exchanging with you. The next Cascadia Artpost release will be a commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of Fluxus Bucks, with mailing planned for late September. Also, if you have "interesting" tickets or receipts, please send some for me for the next "Ticket! Ticket!" collaborative project for early 2020. Participants will receive one or more artistamp sheets in which their contributions appear.

Thank you for your comment. The shapes in "Land of Olives 2012" are based on the leaves of the olive tree.  They are traditionally considered a symbol of peace. Google -- 'olive branch symbolism'. So when I read the Call for Entries back in 2012, the olive leaf as a symbol of peace came to mind, and the artwork evolved from that. The leaf form is a beautiful abstract shape as well.
