Jenn Miltenberger Thanks, this is what I expected. I may just have to go the conventional silk screen route with all of the time consuming steps.
Hi Michael,
I mainly work with my old stock. My Gocco/many supplies I have were purchased 15 years ago... so find supplies is very limited. You also can use exposed thermofax screens for textile screenprinting and other inks instead (but I don’t know much about this).
I'm not sure where best to post this - I'm curious whether Gocco printing is viable anymore? I'm intrigued because it greatly simplifies the process of making screen prints. I've not used Gocco yet but understand the benefits. Is there a supplier of new screens, ink and bulbs or is everyone working from an ever-diminishing supply of old stock?
Yay - I am glad the postcard has finally made it to you!! I will keep an eye on the mail from Greece - have never received mailed from Greece before! Thank you, Katerina :)
sabrina, here's a link to the wikipedia on the gocco printer. sadly, they don't seem to be made anymore. i believe this is also the system ryosuke uses for printing the braincells.
