Watching Paint Dry, a 3D card by Artist in Seine

No one has at this stage seen what actually Dean paint. But this colorful assemblage is proof that Dean is up to something. We eagerly await the results and what we will see "after the paint has dried"! It is possible that Dean was inspired by the Swedish flag given the color choices he made. I also see the card as a facial expression, and come to think of the phrase "watching paint dry" :) It's a wonderful card, Dean. Thank you!

Loved the "Card from the side" photo.  Boy does that look pro.  And thank you for a wonderful blog, and the lovely comments and flash back photos.

Perhaps the subjects are connected?  Well of course says the Washington Post;

"people try to find a relationship in Dean’s cards, not because there is some kind of superficial resemblance in common, but rather because it is estranged, and the viewer, sensing this, feels the need to attach themselves to Dean’s cards."

    Actually, I just opened the paint jar and found all of my lovely paint where all dried up, so I glued them to the first thing I could find.  End of Story, but don't tell the Washington Post.

Did I forget to mention "ha ha"?

How does he do it?  Just throw stamps on it and toss it in a mailbox, then run away fast.  And if you are not sending it to Greece, then you have a very good chance of arriving. ha ha   (I'm suppose to put "ha ha" from on so people know I'm joking.)  Actually I'm thinking of starting every blog now with "ha ha".

Yet, bottle/wine corks...just naked-through-the-mail,

a signature theme by the Artist in Seine!

How does he do it????

Thank you for your comments, guys! And for the lovely painting, Nancy! Wine bottles/caps are always topical in Dean's work, so his color bottle cap card was something of a surprise. Perhaps the subjects are connected :)

Dean has special postal service karma. What he gets away with! I love this. Here is a sample of his handiwork with (wet) paint from 2013, one of my prized possessions:

Is it not amazing how InSeine's art get through the postal system?

Fantastic 3-D haptic art here, lucky you, Carina!

I am eager to see what was painted, too :-)
