Trashpo from Fancy Belle Scottish and Stephanie Blake

Received two great trashpo pieces. This fantastic laminated American Spirit Cig box and my favorite piece to date from NBS. Nancy has proven that raw trashpo and aesthetic trashpo are not diametrically opposed. Thank you guys!!

The materials in anyone's artwork are interesting to know. Included in this for Diane are parts of a run-over and rained-on carton found down the street here one morning, plus the back of a front (!) of a Marlboro pack that washed up on the beach years ago and I loved the texture and peeking-through colors. This was way before mail art for me. It spoke its purpose, though! The paint you see from underneath is what I used to cover the first piece for Diane that day, which stank really badly. Had to open the windows, haha.

I always liked American Spirits too when I used to smoke. It cracks me up thought that they are 'natural' yet these are 'menthol' which sounds about as natural as antifreeze. Janine, Nancy's piece looks bumpy but the texture is really soft and smooth!

Nice job, Stephanie! The red American Spirit is my personal favorite. Beautiful colors. At first they were almost Tibetan Buddhist colors, Erni...Thanks very much for the blog, Diane, I'm glad you like it, and wow that got there fast! UFOs from Kat arrived yesterday in 3 days from Greece, which amazed me, and her too.

Love "American Spirit" especially. I also live near repatriated AmerInd tribal lands, where the main economy is tax-free cigarettes (& casinos). The boxes are really incredible 4 Trashpo. Fab!
