this trashpo bookmark came in a great handmade envelope. both pieces are stitched and the bookmark is a great combo of textures--newsprint, shiny plastic, bumpy titching, then soft silky eyelash fringe. thank you so much Amy. Love the Valentine Mark Herman Cat Stamp too!

how did I miss Last Shred of Dignity? This sounds like a fantastic performance piece. I can see why she had to make trashpo from the clothes on her back, as Japan is so bereft of trash. A trashpo artist could starve living there

I need to set the record straight. Empress won TWO TrashPo Litzers:

(1) For "Medical Waste Trashpo" (use your imagination)

(2) For "Last Shred of Dignity" (my fav) where she was cutting off small pieces of her clothing (apparently while wearing them) & mailing them to people. This seemed to be some sort of response to the Elgin Shroud.

Black and purple robes=Check, Pagan hand fasting=Check, Amy's books marks=perfect!!!! -Whats a Pagan Handfasting? Do you abstain from something????????

Vizma, in my vast DK collection, I don't ever remember anything having a particular smell. And using synthetic roaDKill is the norm in mail-art. These aren't the wild and woolly days any more - like the documented case of the Fluxus guy in the '60s who stole a human ear from a hospital & mailed it to someone as a birthday gift.

DK did go through the "tacky" phase. Everything I received seemed to be covered with some kind of sticky ooze like giant insect saliva or bee wax. I think she was trying to apply some sort of protective coating, but the result was weirdly organic. Then she started actually baking the art in her oven, and it got brittle, but the effects were great.

a pagan handfasting would be excellent. We need to symbolically have a marriage of the minds. Can you please wear the black and purple robes ?Amy's bookmark will be carefully placed to mark the passage to be used in the Trashpo Bible.

No Prob' DK; We are Multi-Faith/trash Chaplains!  What Style of Marriage would you like us to do????

Comment by DKeys on January 10, 2013 at 5:30pm

Thanks Neil--I hope the job share with Dustin is working out. Now I know two Chaplains! I'm hoping you can both officiate the first DKult marriage.

Vizma, it's been slow in Elgin--no bodies have turned up lately. But then the fisherman who caught the last one has quit fishing and taken up hunting

DVS< is that why DK's mail smells like dead bodies?
