TODAY IS MY IUOMA ANNIVERSARY DAY!

It's my IUOMA anniversary day today (15 September, 2013) as :

I have been a member of IUOMA for exactly four years!

In those 4 years, I have:

* sent nearly 1900 pieces of Mail Art, of which some 99% have gone to IUOMA members, at a cost of about €1500/$2,000 (no wonder I am broke)

* received almost 1800 pieces of Mail Art --I have all of them, and they are boxed up and weigh over 25 kilos/55 lbs (no wonder the local Post Office and Postpersons know me so well)

* sent about 4000 Messages, plus many thousands of Comments

* received about the same number of Messages, plus thousands of Comments

* posted 1806 Photos (sorry about that, folks), out of an IUOMA grand total of 69,951

* started about 8 Groups

* served as a mentor to about 100 new members when they joined IUOMA

* met about 15 Mail Artists, 3 of whom have visited me here in Sigean, France

* sent Mail Art to more than 250 international Mail Art Exhibitions

* posted 45 Blogs (this is number 46)

* participated in 612 Discussions

* organised 9 Mail Art Exhibitions, of which 8 were international ones magnificently supported by IUOMA members

* at a (modest) estimate of spending 30 minutes a day on the web-site, I have spent about 1 week/year, 24/7, here, --or all of one whole month in the last 4 years -- or something like 2% of my entire life.

* add to that the time I have spent sending making Mail Art, sending Mail Art, acknowledging Mail Art received, thinking about Mail Art, etc, and that 2% probably doubles.

BE WARNED: MAIL ART AND IUOMA ARE ADDICTIVE AND CAN BE DANGEROUS TO YOUR HEALTH!

My IOUMA year 5 begins today......

My New Year Resolution is to spend more time doing (Mail) Art, and less time talking about (Mail) Art on line.

So with that, it's back to my Studio.
