So, this is the way it is this morning in my studio... lots of art items to go out... some sort of big holdup getting them into envelopes. Return mail is piling up. Can't quite make them connect. I've been here before. Stuck. Arg!! One item at a time, start with the easy stuff--postcards. Right now even that feels like too much. Just think of something easy. That Resistance poetry call from Ruggero Maggi... send the "This is My House Zine." Okay, I can do that. Add a sheet of EpiNeoPostModern Landscape artistamps. Figure out an envelope and address. Go.

Katerina--I don't necessarily agree with not replying. I feel like that's the point--correspondence. I always hope for a response when I send something out, and I expect that others do, too. Not replying is empty--a sort of null set--a harsh commentary all its own. I'm not particularly stressed, just disjunct. Stuff piles up. Takes as long as it takes. It's interesting to watch my art process--I tend to make batches in different spurts. I've been on a papers kick lately, turning out letter books and mailart bookies, which I enjoy immensely. Meanwhile gel printing and making a few cards--also enjoyable. And envelopes, whee. I'm not going to buy large envelopes any more--just make them from brown paper sacks. Anyway, I've been in a making phase lately--not a letter-writing or sending phase. Admitting the situation is the first step! Already I put together something for Ruggero and Joey Patrickt. Dystatic is next. I keep a box of things I save for certain people--so it's easy to start there. Also, I'm on an artistamp kick this morning--using/gluing them on envelopes, that is.
Enjoy your break, my dear! And thanks for all you send!
No stress, do it at your own pace, Coco.
One of the joys of mail art is that we are not obliged to reply, or there is no time-table to do so.
And what a surprise to get a reply even after months...(years? ) since we had sent something.
ENJOY making and sending...whenever :-)
( and no need to send here, as it is my Greek Summer Break! yay!)
