I will introduce readers to the new Mail Art from the UK.

The first two photos show a sheet of Art stamps by Kevin Gillen.
Photo 3-9 shows the art of Mel Anie. First, you see an image of a human figure on translucent paper. Picking up the leaf, you see a second drawing under it, with a twig. The same twig in the monotype technique was imprinted on the back of the sheet.

Dear Mel Anie, thanks for your comment. I really liked the way the various drawings are superimposed on each other and, as if in the theater, the next "layer" is gradually shown.

As for the leaf and twig, I can say that I have a visual memory that suggests the choice of term. In our area, trees do not have such leaves, so I wrote about the twig by mistake... I think this is a very good idea to explore our states of being through drawing (and a kind of meditation).

Nice stamps from Kevin. My mail art to you, Ilya, was my attempt to engage with these states of beings that we find ourselves in  - and out. The tracing of the figure is a tracing of a drawing I made. I have the original drawing, you have the trace. I love the translations too. Perhaps it does look more like a twig, but really, it is supposed to be a leaf! But, I like the idea of it being a twig.
