From July 2nd till August 17th 2013 I was abroad. In the first weeks I had access to Internet, last week not. Last saturday I collected all the mail-art that arrived at the P.O. Box during that period. I needed two large bags to carry the mail-art pile back home. About 200 pieces of mail-art........ 

So thank you all for that huge surprise. I hope you understand I can't answer all at ones. So in due time I hope to send something back. I already started sending out mail-art again.........

After 25 years of IUOMA, we will see how Mail-Art will survive these times where the postal offices are dissapearing and mail becomes rare.  Can't believe all will become digital though. The new generation grows up with digital communication and only learns afterwards the fun of a traditional mail-contact. You can actually write with a pen, and the 'attachments' can be coloured paper, drawings, collages, and all you can think of......

with the 50th celebration I must be 79 years old...... Not sure if I will reach that. If so, I'll let you know by a postcard (if they still exsist.....)

May you enjoy many weeks of 25-years mailart, Ruud. In 1981 a kid visited where I worked and was amazed by the typewriter--that we typed and immediately saw it on the paper, without going to a printer. To him it was more direct and very exciting, and of course he was right.
