Mail-art by IUOMA member meeah williams (collab with Diane Keys) (Brooklyn, New York, USA)
October 30, 2014 - I can only assume this wonderful, large postcard-size work comes from my Brooklyn correspondent, meeah williams. The determination was not simple. I cannot find any sort of signature. More important, the front (above) manages to mimic the Trashpo style of Diane Keys (Illinois, USA) so perfectly that I consider the work an homage to Trashpo. While the scan does not reveal it well, this is a tape transfer piece; that is how so many of the wonderful effects are achieved. Thus, the work invokes tape transfer master Jon Foster (North Carolina, USA). meeah williams is remarkably versatile and constantly experimenting. This is a perfect example.
Pondering the address side led me to conclude that only meeah williams could have made this. First, I believe I recognize the handwriting. Second, the layered asemics reflect meeah’s very recognizable style. They are worth clicking into for a closer look at the detail.
So many thanks to meeah williams for more wonderful mail. If meeah did not send this, please correct me!

I've got to book time at the clinic - again. It's never too late.
And - thanks for posting the pic, DK. I don't know where KDJ stands on this. I thought of launching some sort of effort to buy the Elgin Mansion or to do something to create a museum for your earlier Trashpo, but I've already received so much s---t today concerning my position on this, I am just going to drop it. I seriously expect mail w/rotten eggs.
DKULTNY will issue a statement concerning the destruction of historic Trashpo, but I don't think I even have the support of most other NY trashpoets. Likely meeah wants to spit acid at me over this.
I'm glad someone else finally brought up "definately."
But since the clinic, it doesn't bother me.
Ok, DK! Now, look closely at the right side of the piece - where you can make out the word, "definitely". It is spelled that way in the real world, and you drive me crazy spelling definitely as definately. What would Richard Canard say about that?
Wonderful trashed piece, by the way! You can always make another one, trashpo is indefinate.
