Several years ago I started a little project for no real reason except the fun of it, then I became ill and it got put by.  Luckily it had not been very popular but I have felt guilty about not having finished things off and sent the promised documentation.

Well, being more or less back now I decided that my first job was to bring the project to some sort of end.  this time round I have had more interest and it seems that, now I have the required ten stamps, I can get on with my part of the bargain.  it won't be quite what I had had in mind but I hope it will not disappoint.  It will at least be proper, solid, hold in your hand documentation and not some cloudy scatter of pixels as is usual these days.

Here are the new arrivals by Bruno Cassaglia, El Taller de Zenon, and Mzia Valerian.  The Documentation should be done by next year (and hopefully worth the wait).

Some went missing.  Here they are . . .

New Yoko stamps from Linda Pelati over in sunny Italy. Marvellous indeed and not a computer in sight. Contrast them with the design sent by Mr. Felter, whose single stamp has been beautifully printed the same size (nearly) as a whole sheet and which cries out to be framed and glazed rather than lost amongst the debris of my stamp collection.  Even though this is a very small project, it has attracted and inspired such a diversity of style and method that I am thinking of keeping them all together, seperate from the rest of my artistamps, in an album of their own.  It would make for an interesting exhibition one day but I fear the only time there would be enough interest is when the lady herself rejoins john in the great recording studio in the sky . . .

If all the promised stamps arrive safely, I will have the 10 stamps needed to complete the project.  That doesn't mean I won't be up for collecting up anther ten but I don't think Yoko is much of a favourite with stamp designers so I doubt it will happen.  I can't even remember why I started the project in the first place; I think maybe it was just a type of accident.  Don't get me wrong; it has been good and the documentation is proving very interesting to do . . .

I have been working on the documentation and sent the first part off to the printers.  It promises well and I hope the contributors will not find themselves disappointed.  There are still a couple of spaces until I have to start saving up for a part two so if anyone feels a sudden rush of inspiration . . .

In case I need to say it: single stamps are as welcome as sheet fulls and any hand made efforts (rubber stampings, collaged or drawn) are particularly welcome.
