Sometimes you just HAVE to share and advertise!! Guido Vermeulen from Belgium of course!

My bout of slightly green has disappeared (referring Dean and Ern) - I received the most fantastic package from Guido - in an envelope titled - self-portrait in B - Minor - MAN! I know this minor key - but it makes the most spectacular life symphony...

The original paintings for the Zine pages the contributors will by lucky enough to receive were in the envelope as well as the Zine pages:

This: A dream "A complicated adult dream" as a baby - Guido was dreaming of a dream within a dream - "of diving in a mountain village ruled by giant cats (OF COURSE!) and that my mother was part of the tree in which they nested - and everything was fine" - MAN! Imagine a life without dreams. How dire...

Ok - and take a look at this - a LARGE painting titled The Suicide of Words.  Guido and I are both fascinated by the physicality of words and their general effect. I had indicated I LIKED this on Guido's photo - the result - its mine :-) - the intensity of the mark making, the texture of the paint and the strangeness of the baby pink asemics make for a compulsive work.

and just for your information - I'm reviewing and documenting all the work for The World is a Town (remember I cut up that book TWO YEARS AGO!) Guido's contribution - another LARGE A0 painting - I have the world on my mind...
