Received from Richard Canard, USA--The Simpsons, the Raisin Maid, and our Past Briefly

There's plenty of linguistic fireworks going on here. Old school, rock-star Richard Canard has sent me a lunch buffet of art: a bit of pop culture, readymades, photocopies, and poetic musings, all simultaneously witty and profound. A particularly poignant line for me is, "Whenever I can't find the right words, I usually continue to use the wrong ones." I like the handwriting, the arrows, and the overall subdued work.Real. Immediate. Does that make it plainly gorgeous or gorgeously plain? Thanks, Richard!

Excellent blog and commentary about Richard Canard, Bifidus. He certainly represents both the present and the past of the eternal network, to me anyway. I'm a big fan of his written correspondence; you have a great example here. Claims are made that Ray Johnson pioneered Pop Art, which Warhol later rode into the sunset. I think I can see a little bit of those Pop Art roots in mail-art that RC sent you. Again, this is a real pleasure.
