Received from Cheryl Penn, South Africa--Third Eye

A face that is all about features. A third eye to be exact. The eye that sees inward and knows that she is becoming. When I received this piece from Cheryl I looked at it for a long time. I'm still studying it. Somehow, the features remain balanced and I think that no matter what, the world will remain all right. The ulu, a knife for an elegant being, much more elegant than I am, clearer in thought and heart than I am. I like the warm tones of this piece. The calm stitching. Mail art and poetry as subtle accomplishment in a deep and heartfelt way. Thank you, Cheryl. It's a treasure.

I think all three eyes are blue. Contact lenses only come in pairs, so she's waiting on a special order for another green.

She's cycloptic. This is really amazing

Hey BJones - thank you for blogging.  The collection is growing - or should I call it The Revealing? I'm just the scribe for the Women Who Hold Up the World. More are being disclosed as time moves on. How many, when, well that I don't know.  Hey David and Marie - all of you - have a wonderful Saturday and Sunday :-) XX

She used to be called "The Keeper", if I remember. No wonder. Those eyes, oh....
