Ray Johnson, stamps, news, and more from Carl T. Chew

What great good fortune to remain on Carl T. Chew's list. And isn't it nice of him this time around to help the Post Office out with the note on the envelope labeling which are the "real stamps"? Carl's are extremely INTERESTING, whereas we have the same old butterfly on the real stamps.

The Ray stamps are fabulous, needless to say, and so is the newspaper (two halves of page 1 shown here), which is 8 pages of amazing stamps, symbols, text, drawings, and photos, all printed in black, white, and red. Page 3 identifies it:  "This newspaper from the planet Stamp World is is [sic] published by Triangle Post & C. T. Chew, Copyright 1984, Seattle, Washington," with "special thanks to our correspondents, and to Randy Eriksen, cameraman/artist, for his photographic assistance." There is something for everyone in it, including aliens. It's a terrific work of art, witty, pointed, and full of the best almost overwhelming variety.

The stamp on the back is very special. Titled Global Climate Change Awareness across the top, it points out in larger print, under and up the side of the skeleton-headed elephant, that there is an "Earth-Size Elephant In The Room." Speaks volumes.

Thank you very much for every one of these treasures, Carl!
