I was amazed when I received this piece by Karen. I don't remember seeing anything similar on the blogs, it looks like a completely new turn for Karen. She has framed the text with thick brush strokes of various colors, sometimes blending into each other, sometimes not. The textures are also quite remarkable, I hope one can see it on the picture. And I forgot to mention, it is a real canvas, which gives it even more depth.  I think this might well be my favorite piece from Karen. It is just beautiful and I love the poetry of it, thank you for sending it to me, Karen!

Marie, I have seen a few of these KC paintings blogged recently. Your photo captures a lot of detail in comparison. I like this direction she is taking. Reminds me of Hans Hofmann:
