This is the second painted canvas I am receiving from Karen. I am really glad she found out about her talents as a painter, I think this new line of work is yet another excellent turn! Thank you for sending, Karen! And with two pieces I can already call it a…

I was amazed when I received this piece by Karen. I don't remember seeing anything similar on the blogs, it looks like a completely new turn for Karen. She has framed the text with thick brush strokes of various colors, sometimes blending into each other, sometimes not. The textures are also quite remarkable, I hope one can see it on the picture. And I forgot…

I have several blue tape envelopes from Karen Champlin. I don't really know what Karen and De Villo's blue tape collaboration really is about, but I take it as a seal of quality :-)) Her ATCs are pocket-size masterpieces. Extremely well crafted. I love the neatly punched holes on those (and the A inside!). Every time I see them I think yes, she truly is the…

Katerina sends greetings from Paris. Lucky us, she brought her mail art "equipment" to France, and she even carved a special "Paris" rubber stamp for the occasion. Thank you for always thinking about us, Katerina, this is much appreciated!

This is the date Karen wrote on the back of the card, adding to the mystery of it. Maps, train time tables, red thread, black tape. Are they going to give me the answer to what happened on that day?
Thank you for sending, Karen, your great cards are always muchly appreciated!

A wonderful little boekie from Karen Champlin, arrived without the slightest damage, for a change, thank you postal service :-))
Karen used a variety of different materials and textures, cardboard, fabric, string, copper, book pages, maps... holy family pendant? (I can't exactly tell what it is). I love the vintage train timetable and the way she does the layering. Beautiful work Karen, as ever, thank you for this little treasure!…

Once again the postal system slaughtered one of Karen's mail (with apologies, I guess, I hope so!). I don't understand, because the envelope is very thick, and the art piece inside was damaged. Did they actually open it on purpose? It came in a plastic bag, like a piece of evidence!…

Karen has put so much into this piece, it is going to be difficult for me to write up something that can convey how touched I was when I read her message. It tells about a long journey. Searching for someone and searching for herself along the way, and in the end, the story of a redemption, if I can put it this way, I think it is not too strong a word. The woman sitting on the bench and posing for the photo is Karen's mum. The words "he recognized that expression" from the…

Valentine's day brought me a fantastic package from Karen. A package that has been through a lot! If Karen voluntarily aged and dirtied the envelope, great job, because it looks very real! If on the other hand it is the work of the postal system I demand apologies! :-) I mean, how did they manage to poke a hole through it? (those damn holes are following me alright...).

An envelope with the Art Nation stamp is always a promise of something mind blowing, and I think this is one of Karen's very best. A simple cardboard offcut turned into the most beautiful piece of art. Well, I don't think it happened just like…
