Mystery (valentine?) mail art from England

So excited to receive this (what I see as a valentine) coaster!  Wish I knew who sent it to me…

I have written a little blog and placed it on two of my blogs.  It seems a bit quick for something to arrive from America for a mail art call I only just started, but the person who sent me this may be reading my mind...http://monosemikodachrome.blogspot.co.uk

David, if you visit the event page you can see about the mail art call.  I have the feeling that It's clear as mud but that doesn't really matter, you send anything!  I am counting your MA as my first entry! OK?

David, but does you postmaster like to make mail art, as Edmund does?

Edmund hippo has "TIME" on his hands lately :-)

Edmund Hippo looks suspiciously like my postmaster...

Oh, "only-in-America"! The Greek Post would never agree to such a thing

(although I have seen some slip up and Greek stamps have gone through without

a post mark). They do "frank" them by hand if I turn them in to the clerk at the post office.

If i ( or Edmund Hippo) put the mail art in a post box,

they are collected  and off they go through a machine.

Katerina,

I usually tell my postmaster, "No franking, please. I'm a mail artist."

That's a beauty...simple, minimal David Stafford! Wow!

Rebecca, it really does fit the theme of "Monochrome-Semitone-Kodachrome"!

How did those US postage stamps not get franked "New Mexico"...very mysterious.

Rebecca, what is your new mail art call about? I didn't see a mission statement...

I read your mind, Rebecca...
