Baked pies as Mail Art sounds good. Is it legal?

19.08.14 Dare Thomas Brown ...I once was priviledged to spend several months working at the western nawf karolinah mail distribution center in  Asheville (back in the late 60's)...mostly loading & unloading trucks...there were actually a few instances in which I helped process my own mail... Generally speaking, the average postal worker could care less about the particulars of an envelope & is only concerned about getting the mountains of mail simply shuffled from one place to another ... getting the job done & going home. & although  I never really discussed my interest in correspondence art at the shop  as it was my impression that any oddity or non-standard piece of mail was usually considered to be  more of a nuisance  than anything else. ( Of course, there are always exceptions to the rule  & I certainly would not dare to  speak for thousands of postal workers ). Incidentally & at that particular time...the" Pop"  tv series of" Batman" had just made it's appearance & consequently Batman at Bat Cave, North Carolina was getting all kinds of mail....& the Reverend Doctor Billy Graham seemed to be getting a lot of baked pies via Parcel Post from little old ladies across the country. Best to You. Richard Canard

Putin and Romney stamps??? haha. I wonder if the postal workers get a laugh from these stamps or if they just get confused if it's a real stamp or not.
