Magnificent DKult Trash Tribute by Hal McGee (Gainesville, Florida, USA)

Hal McGee - 4.5.2015 - 1

Mail art by IUOMA member Hal McGee (Gainesville, Florida, USA)

April 5, 2015 - New friend Hal McGee has directed some DKult business my way. As a result, I have this magnificent trash collage that I must present in two scans due to its remarkable scale and my limited copying capacity. Even if not textbook Trashpo, this pieces uses brilliantly the composition principles of DKhaos as invented and practiced by Queen of Trash Diane Keys (Elgin, Illinois, USA). So, in many ways, this is a splendid monument made in adoration of DK, I think.

Understandably, Hal McGee is not fully conversant with the esoteric machinations of MinXus and Trashpo. (“MinXus is the opposite of Trashpo,” sayeth the MinXus Lexicon; “Trashpo is the opposite of MinXus” sayeth the Trashpo Lexicon.”) So this work has found its way to DKULTNY (New York). Hal McGee is officially a member of DKULTFLA (Florida); KDJ is president of that chapter.

The DKult destination is clearly stated on the envelope:

Many thanks to Hal McGee! Welcome to DKult and Trashpo: “You can check out any time you want, but you can never leave.”

Much appreciated BG. This is getting embarrassing. Dark wall is going to have to teach me to use that digital camera, and fast. Hal's piece looks great.

It's like that Hillary book: "It Takes A Village." I guess.

Nice!

I'll apologize for the poor attempt at putting it together, but check out the pic below, DVS:
