Lisa Iversen (Skybridge studios) sent me this old Japanese book she found in her attic, I think. She wasn't quite sure what it was about but she thought that it would be of interest for me. The book didn't look unfamiliar to me, as it is a lab manual. I am only showing a few of the softer pictures, but there is a little bit of everything. How to handle lab rats, how to house them, anaesthetise, dissect, perfuse, analyze data etc.. It looks like it is from the 50's, and 1000 yen was a hefty sum at the time. I really wonder how it ended up in Lisa's attic! ... and now it's back to Japan. The beauty of mail art. Am I going to use some of the pages to make new mail art? You bet!
The package also included a postcard with Lisa's beautiful calligraphy, and an old fabric French flag :-)) A very thoughtful mail, Lisa, thank you!
