Katerina cracked me up with this card, and I am certainly not the only one. What a fantastic way to depict the IUOMA Zeitgeit, and what a great sense of humor. I have to admit I sometimes find it hard to find my way with things at IUOMA moving so fast. Zalop, asemic, haptic, trashpo, sandpo, 365, holes, anti-holes, you name it. Pfiuuu, it's a real sport. Oh, and I forgot the year of the squirrel rabbit, how sweet you remembered that I am one of those guys, Kat. But my favorite part is the fantastic asemic writing, what a laugh :-))
Ben the Bin will have to sort out all this mess, but for now he is busy doing my dishes, so I'll leave him alone for a while.
This mail certainly made my day and will make me laugh for a long time, thank you Katerina!

Marie Antonette digs Katerina too! And there will indeed be cherry blossoms flying around in some envelopes in the near future. Like, tomorrow.
But Sloan, you're a bit unfair to LeGrigstaire. The monkey business was very entertaining. I don't know anyone else in the world who would be able to make monkeys produce mail art for them. And yesterday I got a very sweet postcard from him, by Rayal mail ;-))
Kat is on a roll these days. I love the work I'm seeing. I relate to your commentary here, Marie. We have entire arts movements budding (like cherry blossoms?) in a matter of weeks. It's staggering. And Katerina is making stamps to chronicle them. Let's us not forget the recent past: mail-art holy wars, Antonism (Marie Antonette ( still my favorite) monkeys...
BTW - I have to tell you this. Who else would understand? Swinx from Germany recently posted a wonderful video documenting a mail-art show she had. BUT there is a segment where she's going around taking shots of the mail-art hanging on the walls. For a moment, the camera lingers on a postcard by GA. This was his earlier work, and it stuck out like a sore thumb. There was all this great mail-art, and here is this crude, inept postcard making some sort of lame joke. It truly did look as if a monkey had done it. I didn't have the heart to leave Swinx a message suggesting she edit that monstrosity out. So I'm telling you. Mail-art is great, but we'll take anyone.
