Kanji Puffs ga oishi desu ne - from David Stafford (looking suspiciously like the Kanji Fairy)

You might remember Kanji Puffs. One of the girls on Angie's blog had to get several of them excised from her throat I think (the girl's throat, not Angie's). But no worries, it's a minor surgery and absolutely routine. Today we learn a bit more about those wondrous little things filled with wholesome goodness.

The envelope alone made me laugh out loud. And shake my head at at David's genius-ness once again. Prince Ryu looking quite pale and feeling asemic in front of his bowl of puffs, Princess Wakeo making clean breast, those dodgy looking chairs :-))
I could go on with the list but I'll just let you read and enjoy.

And the same goes for the card. The front seems to picture a pack of Kanji Puffs, with what I imagine is a Japanese soccer player advertising the product, saying "Kanji Puffs were delicious" (David, where did you learn Japanese??). And I'm sure David is moonlighting as the Kanji Fairy, there is too much resemblance there.
The back of the card, oh my, I wouldn't know where to start. Please read it, you won't be disappointed. You'll also find out how so many things are unsuspectedly asemic in this world. Well, David, what can I say, your sense of humor is unsurpassed and so are your drawing skills. Thank you!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Marie and Company for all your wonderful compliments and commentary. I'm just marinating in them. Regarding the Japanese: I was sitting on the Davis Campus in California waiting for my sister to return from a dire errand when a young Japanese student approached me to take a survey for one of her classes. I obliged and she obliged me by writing out the Kanji Puffs line. What's amazing is my transcription didn't foul it all up.

Think I'm taking up hula hooping and blaming David for the consequences :-) X

More Brilloart (or is it Brillart?) from David! Maybe she is a cailleach with lipstick?

Hi Jack :-) - I ONLY do it on my two Fav's :-) - I was REALLY PLEASED the David had not forgotten to make hyena tracks to South Africa! Mystical for sure - with OF COURSE a story! Eish - a "deteriorating Dorian Gray persona.."

The story of the face "sour, indistict and marked by a lipstick color that had been popular long ago...

EEEK!! Sherri Nibart, "accidentally strangled a playmate while practicing for a difficult hula hoop competition"

David's stories and remarks never get old. Considering all he comes up with, you'd think there would be a little repetition here and there.  But there isn't!!! ?? How? Why?  Oh never mind, just keep it up, when the mood strikes. Clearly your fans are enthusiastic and wide-ranging. ...

No problem, Kat. My Spell Chick takes frequent breaks and is often "Out to Lunch." Keep going with those Trash Books! 3 am? Just when things start getting inta-rest-ing...
