Check out this cool art envelope fellow Minnesotan Linda French sent to me! There are really great doggie thumb print drawings and hand carved stamp images, plus beautiful stamps. Don't miss out on seeing the reverse of the envelope, either! She assures me spring will come, but February is so cold here it's hard for either of us to believe.
Seriously GREAT thumb print drawings - how does she get all that detail and realism into a _thumb print_? The dog licking itself is clear as anything, but it's based on a finger print? I didn't know it was possible, but I think it means she's a really good artist / cartoonist to be able to turn an oval into such clear and present awesomeness. I love the tiny drawings, the bee, the cat, flower and the sun - this is really so awesome it's heading straight for my wall so I can see it regularly.
Linda was so sweet to remember my bird, who is on my shoulder as I type this, actually. She sent me an origami parrot and bird stamps! She also sent this funny art based on a Martha Stewart cardboard package which has clearly been used as an ink blotter.
This is beautiful paper she used to write me a note, the intricate, tiny little lines and bright color remind me of the art she made on the outside of the envelope. The other nice textured brown paper calls out to me to use for a response piece to her. Thank you, Linda!

Well, it was a Saturday morning, which meant 2 things: 1.) I had to only do quiet things since an insomniac was finally sleeping and 2.) The computer was free for my monopolizing since an insomniac was finally sleeping. I'm not really as great of a blogger as you give me credit for, probably only blog 10% of what I receive.
Yes, this is cool, and you have to be the fastest blogger in the West. Bravo!
