I'm glad it was worth the wait Katerin! The thread is embroidery floss split into a single strand. Incredibly time consuming, but quite therapeutic and very rewarding.

I have another copy of this portrait that I can use... for another embroidery, perhaps ;)

It is finely done and with white fibers interwoven! Elegant!
