BARCODES ARE HUMAN 100 by Dean Marks

Even I have been introduced to the mysterious world of the barcodes by Dean. It's an amazing world and it has for instance learned me to look and wait for the unexpected! Barcodes ARE human!

Well yes Carina, you are correct.  Proponents of De Stijl sought to express a new utopian ideal of spiritual harmony and order.  And electric cables and painted towers are exactly that!

I did some research and it took a while, sorry for that but.. Is this the work of De Stijl? ;)

Debbie, you are right, I should take a picture of it at the present stage.  It is far from finished, and at the rate I'm going, it could take me another year.  But thanks for the idea to take pictures along the road.  I'll keep you posted.  Please remember that my things are only for a joke, and I should never ever be taken seriously!  Now back to the old grin grid stone.

Piet Mondrian? or Mondriaan.  Does he work for Nestlé or the eletric grid company called De Stijl ?  Is he the one who had the famous quote; "New day, same old grid" and "Back to the old grid stone"  ??

For all you barcode lovers, I am also working on a 1 meter x 1 meter barcode piece simular to the ones you recieved, but I'm not quite sure how I'm going to get it in a mailbox.

Well, Dean can always make more "Variations" on a bar code, yes?

I agree, Mondrian would looove bar codes and would create many, many art works with them...limitless creativity with bar codes (Dean, are you listening?)

Banans are nice, too...greetings to Anna Banana!

Hm, I wonder what Piet Mondrian would have said about barcodes. Perhaps, "more barcodes in art, please"?! :))

I can't find Helder Diaz as a member.

OH yes, I only really do one barcode per person, and if they really like barcodes, then I send them the "limit barcode" one.  I need to try to move on to funny stuff.  Funny Art, that's where I want to be.  Bananas are funny, peeled or unpeeled, it doesn't really matter, they are funny.  And funny enough, I just got an e-mail from Anna Banana.

Yes you are correct, and I'm chicken.  Wait a minute, chicken is a product!  OH NO !!!!

Love the work by Helder Diaz, very nice indeed.   I will I could paint.  Chickens don't have an apposing thumb to hold a paint brush you know.  OH NO not again!!!

Helder Diaz has a good point! It's important to remind us, we are not a product, we are so much more...

'Love these bar code cards by Dean (hint, hint...), one can never have too many :-)

"Bar codes are human" but on mail art that I just received from Helder Diaz, she has a

bar code but warns that :"You are not a product". Good philosophy!

A wise animal is that meerkat!
