Nancy, hope you don't mind me posting this--

This is an excerpt from a note from NBS that I thought was very evocative and poetic. I love the image of mail art being a 'colorful riotous crowd of crazy people"

What do you do with received MA? There's so much I love and can't stand to just file away in a box or closet. Right now, four months' worth is on my desk in a big but low box so that it looks like a colorful riot of MA standing up every which way--like a crowd of crazy people or something.

My 14 months of Mail Art weighs 10.5 kilos/23 lbs, must contain hundreds of items, and lives in a ig box in my storage room.Alas, I have no room to display even the smallest part of it. Alas, I have no time to catalogue and classify it properly.

What I DO have time to do is to dig the box out now and again, go through the stuff therein, think how clever all this Mail Art is, put the box back on the shelf, and come out of the room with a big grin on my face and a warm feeling in my tummy.
