A huge thank you to Gerda Osteneck in Sasketchewan, Canada

This thick packet of delicacies arrived a few weeks ago.  It includes a sampling of handmade papers that Gerda created this summer - most of which include linen, rayon and other fabrics as well as more conventional fibers used to make “paper”.

They are all so beautiful tho the one I love most is the front dark blue square made of rayon & linen.  The blue fish print and the chicken prints are both fabrics backed with some kind of finish - possibly to be used in

bookbnding.  Also a small red print on handmade paper in the foreground.  They are amazing.  Even the prints to the far right are the back of a letter she wrote.  Incredible!!!
