Incredibly complex collage by Charlotte Geister

This amazing collage has so many wonderful details.  First, the blue and yellow flower print (upper right corner) was made by Charlotte.  She juxtaposed the wonderful NY street scene, which has compelling iconic images/billboards with great colors.  The crown on top of the building is a very unique bit of multicolored fabric which Charlotte attached with some clever and subtle black hand stitches.  Finally, the ruler adds the  icing on the cake.  This too is attached with subtle black stitches that look at first glance like the marks on the ruler!  I found a big roll of this rusted metal ruler a few months ago - on the wet forest floor while camping in the mountains of Oregon.  I grabbed it immediately - seeing it as the art material that it is.  I sent a few bits to Charlotte and this is how she thanked me!!!!  How lucky I am.  I have more rusted metal ruler to share if anyone wants some.
