Cheers and thanks for the nice blog! Almost right there Erni, it is an author, but Gertrud Stein. The king was almost an ace, 17th century yes, but Axel Oxenstierna. And his picture by painter David Beck that I translated;

 

The man with the hand on his cheek is Henri Michaux. And the man magnified by Katerina is the brother to my grandmother, this I translated from a 1910s or 20s photo. His name is Oskar Svanberg. The only thing I ever heard about him was that he ones urinated in a vase coming home drunk, also a free spirited dandy..
