This one was indeed too late for Christmas, but no worries, enchanting David, you still made it on time for New Year's wishes. That's some amazing Water Dragon there, and I love the way the card is aged. As for the little quote, exactly what I needed to hear. Just perfect. Thank you for sending, I love it!
And I couldn't help uploading your rejected Christmas card too (scroll down), I hope you don't mind, I find it great :-))

Apologies to Dylan Thomas

Saitama is the prefecture, and the postal code. And the city is called wako (I'm not kidding)

You will see all this when you'll mail yourself to Japan ;-)))

What does Saitama 351-0113 mean?

Comment by David Stafford on January 16, 2012 at 5:04am

This is so foreign to the imaginary Japan that their movies have conjured for me.

Old Monkey Haven, KwaZulu Natal

You poets are totally hired to rename the streets over here! ;-)) most of them don't have a name, it's just the ward and boring numbers. Wakoshi Chuo for example just means Wakoshi central, 2-9-8-402. So boring.

Poet!

I just wrote numbers like those on an envelope this afternoon, Marie, and was wondering how people keep track of where they live.

You're right, Old Salt Road has WAY more character(s) ...

I like the Old Wakoshi Shuo Road with the pines guiding you up the mountain to the Shinto Shrine. In the winter the sun waters the shadow until they grow taller than the trees and then disappear like ghosts into the twilight.

This so wouldn't work here. We would have things like old 4-10-3-432 and new 321-54-3
