And it had a slew of collabs and John M Bennet 'solo' pieces!
A HUGE thank you to John for a stuffed envelope full of collaborative bookies! I've chosen a page from each to entice you with! I hope to add to this blog when I have a bit more time and scan them in their entirety. Treasures.…Continue
Maybe it's a Zen Garden… whatever you want to call 74 1601, as far as I'm concerned it's an aesthetic triumph that beat it's way from California, taking TEN days to arrive as a postcard! Mail Art!

Received this beautiful asemic vispo from DVS. I am re-reading the essays in the last VISPO book that someone in my family gave to me last year, the year before? One of the essays (book by bedside in other space) directs the reader to look at the whole first. Intuitively I did that and noticed various things that I won't mention i case it interferes with another reading. …Continue

I have been blogging like mad at my various blogs and barely dipping into IUOMA but wanted to post a few pics of some of the work I've had for Maritime Mail Art from IUOMA members! You can (of course) see all the work I've received at the dedicated blog. In case you don't know, I am having two exhibitions of work I receive in England and on Cranberry Island. The first one will be next Wednesday, running for a week at the Cranberry Island Historical Society. I carried the pices I received…Continue
and this piece from J Block is one of those pieces! To begin with , like many of you, I am crazy about maps and the topographic maps always exert a particular pull. This piece shaved out of a magazine, I think, but the first thing I notice is it's map feel, the haptic nature of the piece and the use of pattern and colour. It appeals to me on many levels. J…Continue

Nancy wrote to me about a week ago to tell me that something I'd sent her had arrived. She liked it so much that she had earmarked something special for me, she said. When I send mail art out I hope that the recipient will delight in it and I guess that's why I do it. I can't imagine anyone wouldn't be delighted, exhillarated, swept away by the three pieces Nancy sent me in return for a few pieces of altered crumpled trash… Here is a little glowing ember of Nancy's genius. I have…Continue

Lots of new work on the MSK blog! Latest arrival was from Keith Chambers, although I am not entirely sure if he meant for it to be for The Postal Ledger or MSK.
But like I keep saying, it doesn't really matter! I blogged Keith's postcard yesterday but it has been sitting on my computer table and each time I pick it up I notice more.
I LOVE to blog but if I blogged everything I get here and on my various blogs I would be blogging all the time and would never make a thing. I like to have my main blogs over at blogger but love the noise and enthusiasm here at IUOMA so I ping…Continue
