This deeply inspiring boekie arrived from Marie in the winter. It means a lot to me on many levels. I don't know whether others received and blogged a version of Musical Tinkle, but here is what I was lucky to receive: …

I have seen--it seems--some rather amazing poetry included on this site and inclusive of many mail art pieces recently. It does my heart good. Poetry has saved my soul many times over. And though I shant wish to proselytize poetry upon any of the masses that define themselves as verbal art-agnostic, I would like to celebrate a recent mailing from Japan that might make you see the light. "A Circle" is a poetic and very beautiful book sent by Marie:
This book is a thought-provoking reminder that it was Marie's work I first saw the day I stumbled into IUOMA over a year ago. It was in a blog by Thom Courcelle, and her work…

This exquisite-exquisite-exquisite piece arrived from Marie last month and blew me away. Others have written of Marie's book far more eloquently than I could, but here are her pages of this edition, with apologies for camera/scanner: …

Got a new Brain Cell From Ryosuke Cohen, yey! I think he did a GREAT job, I'm absolutely chuffed. The Minxus stamps look dashing, right in the middle of the sheet (and just on top of Cheryl's hat). And icing on the cake, the address list goes: cp-sa, mw-jp, rc-jp. Great!
And I really want to quote MINesota flUXus (NOT the real Minxus) friend…

"How?" I ask, "HOW...does she come up with such brilliant, delicate work to send through the mail?" Always so mysterious, so many details to be picked-through... I often want to attach some grandiose meaning or subtext to Marie's work because it so often seems like there is a great Story behind it. It often feels like a top secret spy document encrypted with shadowy knowledge that will either change or save the world forever...
The relay from Agent 007 containing…

I had big plans for this booklet but the paper turned out to crumble when folded, which is fine for the vintage effect, but still, so damn difficult to handle. It still want to use it though...

After a lot of sweating and swearing and dozens of needle pokes, I finally finished Boekie 1. I know there are several architectural mistakes, but hey, it's the first one, and I quite like it. It will contain Cheryl Penn's correspondence. I now need to (slowly) tackle Boekie 2 for other received mail. It will have to be quite different to accommodate all kinds of formats including A4 pages. Hmmm, I don't have a clear idea of what it should look like yet...
