I must admit that I choked up a bit when I received my first completed Add and Pass. A heartfelt thanks goes out to everyone who contributed along the way.
The add and pass was made up of envelopes I had received from fellow mail artists. It was rather delicate but along the way, people added and made it sturdy.…

It saddens me that Volkswagen has decided to cease production of the Beetle. I have lived in San Francisco for nearly 30 years without owning a car. But I have fond memories of zipping around in that orange, 1973, VW Super Beetle during college. That car was so fast. I actually have dreams where I still drive that car. After a trip to Europe, I plastered the back of the car with stickers in various languages, mostly…

The two pencils on the left are little tiny pencils. Its amazing how something as mundane as pencils can be new from a different perspective.…

Mail art by Cor Reijn (Zaandam, Netherlands)

With this elegant and highly conceptual piece, Cor Reijn expresses an issue that I am confident many are pondering at this moment. (Yet no one before has been able to express it so perfectly!) Thank you Cor Reijn.
I believe the question is…

Kathy gives plenty of warning before I open the envelope- Its so cool the way she coordinates the whole package each time. The birthday cake is a great touch.
Of course I took no heed of the clear warnings. Love the way the…

I love the variety of cool stuff that shows up in my mail. This time I received two books on the same day. They are so cool, so different, and so hard to document: can't slap these babies in the scanner. Thank you both! Rani Goel for the book with great tips-in in the pocket and Debra Mulnick for sewn (hand and machine) paper and cloth artwork enclosed in a vintage photo folder.…
