What guides them, what they regard as right or wrong; how they view them- - for Cheryl Penn

I sent this postcard to Cheryl before knowing of the Crimson Giant. And when I look at it now I see it as a prelude to the book, or as a coincidence of some kind. I see the Giant, walking away from the Tower of Babel, feeling sad and lonely. Sad of not being able to communicate with people even though he understands all the languages they are speaking. Lonely not being able to approach them, so close yet so far.

VERY BAD ART

LOOK OUT GUYS!!!! I'm going to spend a marathon weekend making really BAD ART! I'll start mailing it on Monday. ART so BAD you can smell it! Glitter..stickers...garbage! JG Update

Dear Fellow MA Enthusiasts,

Sorry I have been quiet for so long. Been busy with school and the debut tonight of my feature film, The Defiled. I've squeezed in a lithography class in my off hours and am about ready to send out prints in the next couple weeks based on my first attempts. I'm pretty happy overall.

#500 - from Arttower

This is my first Luftpost, yey! Although I'm not quite sure what it represents, I like to think that the four fishes on the front of the card somehow echo the fishermen and fishes I have sent Arttower. It is probably nothing of the kind, but I find it interesting with mail art, how the "receiver" might interpret a work in a totally different way than the "sender" had.

Goodbye Angie

Last Saturday Angie Cope shut down her site and left us. It was a long time coming. I really liked Angie a lot. She was there for everybody. She participated in conversations. She was very funny. I enjoyed her art and her as a human being. Angie sent me a long email after she left. She didn't feel IOUMA was right for her. She also said at times she was treated less than nice. Map postcards - for back home

This is no art, of course, but I believe everyone likes to receive postcards. I have made 6 of those to send out to my family in Europe. Tourist maps make great postcards and are so easy to do, it took me about 10 ridiculous minutes per card.

This is my type of piece...mysterious. Bifidus has written short missives all over this work. Some not quite readable. I love it. The envelope is a first day issue! I used to collect stamps as a kid. Always wanted one of those. On the back of the envelope, his talent for writing shines as he writes what almost reads like a journal entry. A sad one.
