Nature Red

Driving with fat bugs splatting on the windscreen and roadkill on the side of the road inspired this sent travel postcard. "Nature Red"   Wrapping paper (tissue) from a Quebec city florist supplied the bug and some other elements in this card and series that I did travelling by car from Toronto to Prince Edward Island last summer.…

Travel Mail Art

I like to create mail art as I travel from collected tourist brochures, maps, store bags and wrapping paper.  Sometimes as I assemble the pieces, perceptions about the travel emerges. 

In creating this sent postcard I was struck by all the "Just Like Home" advertisements about hotels and restaurants.  Why do we travel and then want things to be like home?…
