"Before Cultures Fade Away"
Mail Art Exhibition

Some things disappear.
Not because someone deliberately gives them up,
but because, over time, distance quietly grows in between.
A word is spoken less often.
A habit falters.
A sound, a gesture, a small piece of knowledge slowly withdraws from everyday life.

"Before Cultures Fade Away"
is a mail art exhibition designed to look at these slow and silent disappearances.

Wanderer's Room is a shared memory space founded by a traveler,
located in the stone room beneath a mudbrick village house.
For this exhibition, small works sent from different places come together in this space.
Inside an envelope,
on a postcard,
on a folded piece of paper,
or as a small object that can be held in one’s hands…
You only need to consider one question:
Is there something small you do not want to disappear?
It may be a word.
A sound, a daily habit.
A childhood memory.
A road, a stop, a trace…

All submitted works will remain in the Gezginin Odası (Wanderer’s Room) archive after the exhibition.

The exhibition will be curated in the stone space of Wanderer's Room
with a placement that respects the nature of each work,
allowing them to exist side by side, equally.

This open call may be considered
a small sign we send to one another before things fade away.

Participation Details
• Works must be submitted in mail art format.
• Maximum artwork size: 20 × 30 cm.
• Exhibition dates: 1–16 August 2026
• Submission deadline: 30 June 2026
