After googling him, I realized I had seen some of his stuff before... Long ago, when I first learned what mail art was and thought it was exclusive to select artists who ran in the same circles, creatively speaking.  The matchbox wasn't one of the pieces I'd seen previously, though. Thanks for the enlightenment! The Shrine is working already! :D

Lynn, Ben Vautier is a Fluxus guy - still alive & active in mail-art (somewhat). The Total Match Box is in the Museum of Modern Art - or at least one is. I'm not sure how many were made.

Using the matchbox is kinda ingenious to me & sort of suggests Trashpo. Anyway, you're a good sport to tolerate us, or me.

I think the materials you use definitely do give you an affinity with Trashpo. I hope you're going to mail me something.

Thanks for the compliment, DVS. :D

Never have seen the Ben Vautier Total Art Match-Box previously... Is it tiny or a larger version?

In that case, cool bird, Lynn. D-Kanines is actually pretty mild in comparison to other D-Kult schemes. Did you ever see this matchbox thing by Ben Vautier? It's very well-known in mail-art. Pretty, cute idea. No?

Angie, I was kinda hoping... is that too far fetched? LOL The bird is actually the first in a series of 5x7 canvases that I'm creating for examples of my scrap fiber nest technique article that I hope to pitch to mixed media magazines within the next week. :D The corgis do not have super powers and therefore do not get up on my shelves! THANK GOD! They wreck enough of the crap I leave on the floor! LOL And finally, I did post the larger shot of this area to "Show us your art space" when I first joined IUOMA. You think I should update from time to time?

DK, Thank you on both counts! I shall spend some time at the shrine this evening, meditating on the location of the thimble, knowing that you are pulling for me! :D Problem is, not sure if I actually purchased it and lost it, or whether I forgot to purchase one and thought I did! LOL Not a senior moment either, I'm not that old.

DVS, NOT a trash buzzard, see my response to A&S, above. :D I now I'm new to the whole DKult thing, but seriously? D-Kanines? All Dkult member dogs? Or just those whose images show up in TP?

Is the birdie card by Stripper Goose or whoever that does the trash buzzards? I havenot forgotten the D-Kanines, Snooker. The red DKs seem to have the least problems. They're calm. The blue ones caused seizures.

I know Angie-I'm so concerned that Lynn find this thimble now. I'm liking looking at your curio Lynn!

Thanks for my DKult shrine! It'll appear in photos wherever I go to create TrashPo! So keep watching for it! :D
