Oh yes I am familiar with the Cathars and their connection with Magdalene. This is one of the main reasons I want to visit France and of of course to meet The Val in his studio. Ha Ha!!! Very much interested in the Templars, Church and The cave of Mary Magdalene at Rennes-les-Chateau. Have had dreams about them and The Magdalene. Did not realize this is in your neck of the woods. Yes, TEJ is an Ethiopian Mead. Love Ethiopian food and had my first glass of TEJ in a restaurant in Washington DC 25 yrs ago on Valentine Day!!!!! My favorite ever since. I would like to talk to you about your experience in the castles in a private email. Take care my friend.
Nope, I don't know about Commandaria. The local honey-fortified wine would be some type of mead. I am very familiar, though, with the Knights Templars. This part of France is famous for its Cathar castles and history. I've visited almost all of the castles. Do you know about the Cathar movement.
I'll go now and search some wine for when you come... au revoir!
Moscato, Tej( Ethiopian Honey Wine) and Commandaria are some of my favorites. And yes these all taste great chilled. Hold on for a moment! Had to run and get me a glass. Are you familiar with the history of Commandaria? It's very interesting. They call it the King of Wines and the Wine of the Kings.it is made in Cyprus and connected with the Templars in the 12th Century. I bet Kat knows about it. Back to creating art. Having a great time researching the Lukasa Memory Boards!!
I await the Universe, Dear Rocheleigh. And you. Now, what kind of wine to I have to get for your visit, and do you like it chilled or not?
HA HA HA!! Ok Val, I will remember that the next time I'm in France. Maybe I will hand deliver this one if you have the croissants, cheese, fruit and wine ready. Or I can just dedicate this one to you. Created a painting with this title also. This one should be #2. The Ghanaian name of this symbol is Odo nyera ne fie kwan" (Love lights its own path; it never gets lost on its way home). This is your month to send and receive love from the universe my friend. Take care.
If you are called 'Valentine', as I am, you are automatically drawn to messages of love. This is a nice one, Rochleigh...and Adinkra.
(Just in case you do get just a little bit lost in Sigean, then turn left at the church square,
& go along Grand Rue. after 15 yards take the first right into rue de la Vielle Fontaine, and no 1 is the first house on your left)
