Carina Granlund : Black Bear and the Black Bear Adventures

Inspired by her recent trip to California, Carina gets a Black Bear to pose for her while she drew it. Hence the drooling which was added at the last second.

Yes it's indeed a another world over there, I didn't see Old Faithful but lot of wonderful places, landscapes..

How times have changed. A great piece which brought back some memories. When I was little we went to Yellowstone National Park for our one week annual family vacation. At that time, the black bears would come right up to the car window and you could feed them. My Mom was feeding some ham to a bear and then decided to pet the bear, so my sister would take a photo. Needless to say that the poor bear thought my Mom's hand was another piece of ham. For the rest of the day, I sat in front of Old Faithful and watched it erupt every 91 minutes while my parents were in the Clinic. I never did see the photos my sister took, but now she hunts Black Bears instead of taking their photo. It's another world over there!

Comment by Carina on July 19, 2012 at 8:46am: I did see - met a black bear at the picknick area.. I went straight after paper and a pen... seriously I run to the car and was shouting to my husband to immediately stop photographing.. ;)
