THank you everyone it's so nice to hear. What I used here is many layers of colored pencil then a layer of ripped book pages washed in acrylics...the whole page was also sanded several times.

I totally agree, Franis. The piece invites reflection, sort of Zen as I much as I understand the idea. "Lotus" suggests that is what the artist intended. I'm really interested in knowing how the subtleness was achieved.
