Hi Robin, thanks for the welcome. Winter hasn't really arrived this year and the south of the country has been badly flooded. Where I live I see the odd deer but not many; I'm waiting for March to come that will bring the hares out into the fields.

I sent you the Darlington FC collage twice! I did warn you that this could be boring. I could send it a 3rd time if you like -- upside down perhaps? That might make it more interesting

Earthling, this is the last but certainly not the least welcome message to IUOMA you receive. To Robin in Darlington,

I was born and bred in Darlington, Co Durham, England, and lived there until I went to University. My parents had a home there until my mother died last year, so my connection with darlington lasted 65 odd years; It had, has, and for ever will have, one of the worst football/soccer teams ever. Bruce Springsteen sang of a Darlington County, and I think his was in NY or NJ. Kate Bush sang about 'Alice in the back strets of Darlington'.There's a Darlington in NSW, Australia, and I think I once went through one in Ontario.
