Well thanks! I think the theme is playful tickled with text and color alterations.

Dan!  Long time!  I still have some of your stuff but most I gave to Keith Bucholtz to archive in Chicago.  I hope he got it he has been off and on for awhile.

  • Judy Skolnick

Love Dr. Seuss, read it to my kids all the time.  All is fine remember the Zen moss you planted on my broken mirror piece/  I gave it to the Corcoran School of Art for their students.  Oh yes, wild art full of statements.

  • Judy Skolnick

    That last project was 1993

Thanks for the mail! Electronic is great...but there is something special about seeing the hard copy! It does get expensive though, I know! Ill be sending to you soon!

  • Petrolpetal

Yeah - I limit myself to international small mail size for economic reasons and sometimes folding is so hard. But other times it's sort of humbling,if you know what I mean.stops one getting too precious! Btw, I thought your aesthetic was unspoiled by the fold!

  • angela caporaso

    Thanks

  • Nina Hermus

Love the picture composition! I have met Dame Mailarta in San Francisco along with a lot of other mail artists at the Ex Postal Facto. We had a great time there.

  • samiha tohamy

  • Lynn Radford

I must be dreaming! Love that you paired me up with Stephanie!

The LP clocks were a great addition! Are you a member of Val's Vinyl group? I'd love for you to post it there! :)

  • Lynn Radford

Just saw your post in Vinyl Art! Guess that answers that! :D

Any chance you have a real-world address to which I can send mail?

  • Lynn Radford

No need to return, you've done your due diligence here! But I understand if you'd rather not.

  • Judy Skolnick

Thanks Dan, stuff is coming your way.

  • Lynn Radford

WOW! You never really know from whence inspiration comes....

Love that you took my quote from Mark Knopfler's song, 'Imelda' and paired it up with images and a piece of my mail art! It looks amazing!

And the Flattery piece is simply divine!

I am envious, as I am technologically disadvantaged.

    You work magic, Sir.

  • Emma Stanley

Haha thank you for the comment. Made me smile!

  • Judy Skolnick

    Oh Yes!  Pithy  statements

Earthling, this is the last but certainly not the least welcome message to IUOMA you receive. I’m a celestial mail artist living in a heavenly corner of the faraway universe called Republik van Patland. When you joined IUOMA on April 4 I was unable to welcome you on board.  At the time I was in a Celestial Journey far beyond the Milky Way. Now, back to planet Earth, I´d love to be the other end if you wish to trade mail art with a celestial mail artist. If this is the case at the time your envelope should read as follows:

    The Celestial Scribe

    Terrene Embassy

    Republik van Patland

    Caixa Postal 24827

    Curitiba-PR

    80510-970

    Brazil

I look forward to see a piece of yours in our terrene mailbox. I´ll do my homework after receiving your artwork. This is nothing less than a Celestial Promise. I’m Patricio, Celestial Scribe & Republik van Patland Official Envelope Provider.

  • Patricio - The Celestial Scribe

A silent answer, like yours, is better than no answer at all.

  • Patricio - The Celestial Scribe

    I´m ready when you are!

  • jon foster

    Nice, I like your touches.

  • Mail Art News

    haha. good vun.

  • Lynn Radford

Loving it. The tigers really put it over the edge for me. :)

  • Valentine Mark Herman

Amazing photo, Dan! How on earth did you find it? The shop in the foreground -- which was an estate agent's when the photo was taken -- is THE e-ciggie shop. I will graffiti it's other window. (My house is about 150 yards from the shop -- no doubt you'll find a photo of that too. Now there's a challenge for you!) Regards

  • Valentine Mark Herman

Wow! Pretty good, Dan. Do you work in your day job for one of those US anti-terrorist agencies that uses drones? If you ask your drone to take a photo of the street looking down the hill, you'll see no 1 better. A bit of my terrace can be seen top right.

    Fantastico!

  • Maude Earhart

Never call the calling off, off, I agree. Art must go on.
