Thank you for the "TREE" and other fun mail art, Rod. xxx K.

'Must meditate on the meanings of the above, and

thanks for the bird-watching list :-)

It is posted at "TREES" group too

  • Jenn Miltenberger

Thanks so much for the welcome! :)

  • Dr. Baron Joseph A. Uphoff, Jr.

Thank you for your comment.  Actually, the image was one I came across while I was walking and looking for photos to take.  The tire tracks are not in snow although certainly they can be visualized as that.  The material was soft, wet sand near a small creek.  I left the scene exactly as I found it for the photograph.  Later, I changed the light with a computer.

Thanks so much, I'll let you know when it arrives. :)

Thanks for posting, Rod, those guys in suits doing their performance would have kept me entertained for hours, no wonder you keep the blinds closed while working!

  • Dimitra Papatheodorou

Thank you! I will send something to you, too.

  • vizma bruns

Thanks Rod for the valuable wee information, I'll give it a try next time I have an important decision to make. Wee hee hee!

That song of yours is too catchy, after hearing it once, I'm still singing it today...you should sell it to Britney and make millions!!! Yes, there are a few cd players here on the farm, as well as record players and all sorts of other obsolete electrical devices. I may have to put them on higher shelves today as we're experiencing floods on the 'golf course'!

  • vizma bruns

Hey Rod, that pic isn't the one at Artspace, you little trickster! :-P

  • vizma bruns

Hey, don't worry about making light of it, I'm not suffering really! As long as I have a little bit of roof over me and enough blankets and wine I'll be fine! Did you really see our mad weather on the news?

Thanks for the email, I'll check out the helgi?stuff tonight!

  • chimerastone

Hi thanks for leaving me a message and sent you a friend request. Bristol is current city I'm living in and has become more colourful because the street art and this Gromit hunting event going on. I was born up north, Robin Hood country for some strange reason I feel connected to trees and nature. If I get the chance I'll send something to you.

  • chimerastone

Sounds good, I think make something to send later this week. I want to hunt for the painted dog sculptures.

  • chimerastone

    Hi Rod

I've received your postcard today it's different from I usually get from postcrossing. I was asked a question 'Are those geysers real?'

Just silly. I didn't reply to the question.

  • vizma bruns

Rod! Where have you been all my life? Thanks a bunch for the mail art, so much food for thought that I had to have a little lie down halfway through reading it! I won't be going hungry with that assortment of cards, really terrific stuff, thank you.

Now, the stuff you emailed me, for some reason (probably my stupidity) I'm not able to access it. Hmph. Still getting my head around this new computer of mine...so I'm sorry I haven't responded to that stuff.

I'm still singing MA Dada Skank after a week or so...and after only one listen!! Gold.

  • chimerastone

If I have enough time I would stay around to watch it erupt. Thanks for giving me the link this is really fascinating. I've never seen geysers in real life.

  • chimerastone

So you're have return from your trip to Iceland or still there? My blogs needs updating especially the mailart one. Sadly, I don't the energy anymore I hoping to do some art in weekends.

  • chimerastone

You must like travelling. I like visiting new places but hate travelling especially by plane. There was one trip where I had to stop in Doha to get a connection to Hong Kong and end up as 11 hours. I was with Qatar Airways the food was lovely and entertain was good. Other places I've been are Europe: France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Holland and Barcelona. I really want to go to Japan and heard of talks of 4 day trip. Fingers cross might come true.

  • vizma bruns

I thought you wanted me to watch your sheep video because I live on a sheep station, but it's because there's a Latvian Viking in it!! Pukitis!! Midsummer in N.Europe is divine, isn't it? Do the Icelanders jump over fires wearing botanical wreaths on their heads too?

  • vizma bruns

P.S. Yes please, to the Helgisaga 1 and 3 offer!! Great!!

  • vizma bruns

Slow roasted? Remind me to never attend an Icelandic Midsummer celebration...

Sent you something yesterday and then I got your CD. I laughed so much at Dinner Music, not what I was expecting, brilliant!! Thanks!

    "INEPTITUDE / TOLERANCE" etc :-)

...and have a happy birthday xxx

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

    Enjoy your day, Rod!

And I mentioned on the blog that it is an"equation"

so it is Ineptitude OVER Tolerance, etc. ...very clever!

  • Richard Canard

24.09.13 Dare Rod Summers,...long time no richard c..... & I once sent Ray Johnson a postcard that read something like: "We put blue food coloring in the grits" (everybody knows how habitual those southern rednecks are about their hominy grits) & he returned the card (probably covered up someplace around here) marked with his big red marker that read (as I recall): "I poured beet juice on the rice". Best to you. Richard

  • Michael Leigh

Down to two Pritt Stick a day!

  • Petrolpetal

    Hi there

Thanks for the cards. They are so 'fresh' and crisp.

My daughter and I are playing around with the idea of writing a story for kids - called "The Adventures of Ootiful and Upchuck". So, the 'Brain,Vomit,Upchuck" card had especial resonance!

  • Judy Skolnick

If you really look at the USA we are "owned" by a lot of countries and perhaps we can take a lesson from Venezuela and "nationalize" our interests in our own country. I figure I have to work until 90 to pay rent and eat because they are always trying to cut up medicare and social security and Obamacare is not cheap unless you are a homeless so we support the worlds poorest too.

  • Michael Orr

Greetings. Please consider submitting to the following mail art show: http://cornpone.tumblr.com/post/67661044113/cornpone-open-call-for-... Thanks!

    re: blue road work,

they are quite small, only 12"x12"

both were started by hand and manipulated in a paint program.

i have limited space and usually think about

    them as large paintings.

    cheerio, cb.

  • Petrolpetal

    Thanks for the classy cards!

06.02.14 Dare Mister Rod Summers, Wow!!!...I saw the image of your newly baked bread at the Mail Art Café. You are a real artist...no wonder you are willing to let go of this shuffling of cardboard concept...(i.e. didn't I read somewhere that you were gonna retire from all this nonsense???) Best to you. Richard
