Earthling, this is the last but certainly not the least welcome message to IUOMA you receive. I’m a celestial mail artist living in a heavenly corner of the faraway universe called Republik van Patland. When you joined IUOMA on June 24 I was unable to welcome you on board. At the time I was in a celestial journey far beyond the Milky Way. Now, back to planet Earth, I´d love to be the other end when you decide it’s the right time to start trading snail mail art. If this is the case at the time your envelope should read as follows:
The Celestial Scribe
Terrene Embassy
The Celestial Republik van Patland
Caixa Postal 24827
Curitiba-PR
80510-970
Brazil
II look forward to see a piece of yours in our terrene mailbox. I will do my homework after receiving yours. This is a celestial promise. I’m Patricio, Celestial Scribe & Republik van Patland official envelope provider.
Hi Mars Tokyo! What a small, small world in which we live. Thanks for the welcome and perhaps we can exchange mail art? I hopped over to your website...um...would it be too intrusive to inquire as to what or who "free pussy riot" is?? LOL! Here is my address...I just saw yours so I have it and will get some art out to you this week.
Hello Mars Tokyo! Love the name change story. Sorry I missed welcoming you when you joined (I'm mentor for July and August) but WELCOME now. And, I received your Mail Art. Very cool - I love stamps, of course. Was that cut from a display board? And it included the stamp from my home state (Illinois) and Honest Abe (more Illinois) and Shakespeare (stage managed a production of Hamlet and have loved the Bard ever since) - such synchronicity. Isn't it lovely that Mail Art isn't dead? That it's alive and well! See you in your mail box!
Received and awestruck . . . Fear No Art . . . a fantastic mail art work; digging it vastly. Thank you!!! I love the fact that you left the backside blank. Mars Tokyo's Corrugated Rectangle.
Most people have their snail mail and sometimes email address posted on their profile page. If not, they can be messaged on IUOMA. I don't know of any comprehensive list anywhere, so I have one of my own that I add to as I go along. I keep it on my computer, but have a paper copy for handy use while I work.
You are kindly invited to participate in the “I International Mail Art call the Art Gallery Getafe”.
We were motivated by the words “Woman Fashion” we decided to use them as the theme for the production of Mail Art. Toni Hanner tells me that you had painful mouth surgery recently, so I will be sending you something soon. I know all too well that medical issues are no fun. Since the beginning of 2016, I have had two surgeries on my left breast for breast cancer. Fortunately, the most recent surgery finally removed all the cancer, so now I'm cancer free. (However, I will have to do radiation soon.)
OH hurray, Mars is BACK! Thanks for the great card. Wonderful vintage stamps (Afghanistan, Israel, India, and one that may be Turkey--I can't quite make it out). So happy you made is safely through your ordeal!
Hi Mars! Thanks for another great card! Love the vintage postage stamps, especially Argentina! And who is the babe on the address side--any chance that's you being naughty back in the day?
Mars, thank you so much for the outstanding postcard! Great subject (from a vintage dress catalog) and I love the texture you added with the paint/torn paper. Part of it looks almost like snakeskin. And the "Prime Cuts" stamp! Love it all!
Mars, thank you for the great postcard! These poor women with their chalky faces and upside down internal organs on the outside of their bodies! I don't know how they keep smiling! At least this one has a beautiful camel-hair coat on. AND, she has eyes! Nice!
Mars, thanks for the fascinating postcard. I had to look up the quote about Iolaus! I love that there is a teeny woman near the bottom of the card in the midst of the huge roses.
Wow, Mars, thanks for the Marilyn envelope -- that's an amazing stamp! and also for the A&P's. I've got a collection of them I need to get cracking on soon!
Hi Mars - thanks for the A&P's. I'll add them to the ever-growing backlog!! LOL! And especially for the Collab ATC's by you and Richard Baudet. I really love the two different esthetics meeting up this way!
