Why I am involved in Mail-Art:
With Mail Art, that I carry out from 1967, I hope to express my being, my concerns and my hopes. Like a member of a community and a determined culture I could not quit expressing, although I want the opposite, the own contents of that unit totally. In my works I pretend glorify our being and our world putting our existence in the best of evidence but, for it, I should put all that makes in evidence impossible that aspiration. That is to say, express not only the good and marvelous of the life but, also, denounce all that goes against its: the injustice, the insult, the infamy and all those iniquities that somebody could take on the one which, ideologically, we know like "immorality." For it, my work, not only with Mail Art, they take on a character of politic contestation (in the good sense), trying to influence, in the possible, in the restitution of the justice and the dignity.

    VISUAL Y EXPERIMENTAL EN VENEZUELA
    Es una exposiciòn que organiza el amigo Franklin Fernàndez en la ciudad de Puerto la Cruz, estado Anzoategui, donde el gobernador es el poeta Tarek William, homenaje a Juan y a ti. Es por invitaciòn.
    Esta exposiciòn esta en el marco del SEXTO FESTIVAL MUNDIAL DE POESÌA DE VENEZUELA.

    Esta la que organiza el archivo mail art que tengo, 5to ENCUENTRO INTERNACIONAL DE POESÌA VISUAL que tambièn esta en el marco del SEXTO MUNDIAL DE POESÌA.La misma serà en Caracas, todavìa CASA DE LAS LETRAS no define el lugar, por el tamaño de la convocatoria.

    Ahora bien, cuando aqui en Venezuela se hace el Mundial de poesìa, todo el paìs, completo se vuelve una fiesta de eventos, en todas las ciudades y estados hay lecturas de poesìa, ferias de libros, los poetas de cada regiòn se integran, los niñitos, los jòvenes, hay talleres, en fin, por esos dìas todo gira alrededor de la palabra poètica. Es Lindo!

    No fue que te saque, sino que invite fue para el que estoy organizando...

    hail your Clemenence. Ireland victorious and I wasn't there to see it, no TV in this apartment. Did you see the match, tell me about it. I Skyped with two of my Irish buddies today but they were too drunk to give me a description of the game. I seem to remember we both thought Ireland were capeable of lifting the trophy at the beginning of the series and bless the boys they did it. This makes me a happy man. Spirit, commitment and skill will win.

    Proyecto de Arte postal (Mailart)

    Desde el año 2008 se celebra en la ciudad de Ferrol el evento cultural
    "Las Meninas de Canido" que consiste en pintar las paredes del barrio
    de Canido, inspirándose en el celebre cuadro
    de Diego Velázquez, La familia de Felipe IV (Las Meninas).
    La iniciativa parte del pintor Eduardo Hermida como una 
    protesta artística por el abandono urbanístico que sufre este barrio
    y que a día de hoy aspira a ser "Itinerario Cultural Europeo".

    Para apoyar esta iniciativa un poco mas si cabe, hemos pensado en un 
    proyecto de arte postal (Mailart) por eso convocamos desde hoy mismo 
    y hasta el mes de Agosto del año 2016 este evento.

    Llamamos a todos los artistas a participar en este proyecto:
    Pintura, dibujo, fotografía, poesia, poesia visual........
