Welcome to the Australia Group. As you may have noticed we haven't been very active lately but if you have any interesting ideas it would be great for the group to get back into action.

  • Petrolpetal

Hi there. I love the stuff you've been posting. I'll be sending you some of my work soon!

  • Rebecca Guyver

Great to see your website! I have a backlog  to blog but will clear my desk and send something to you soon.

Hi Jack--thanks for the friend invite. Your work is so playful, yet thoughtful. Enjoy exploring the ancient encaustic medium.

  • Carmela Rizzuto

Jack, Yes, I would enjoy a mail art exchange with you. I'm actually taking an encaustic workshop in 10 days. I have not played with wax in a number of years and so this is a way to re-energize myself. I have used wax primarily to make collages in the past.

I am impressed with your art on your weebly site, particularly how you use drawing in combination with other imagery and media. See you in the mail---

Jack, I received your wonderful mail. I was expecting a nice postcard and got a fat envelope full of great stuff! Thank you so much. Haven't sent anything yet - - but I will! Have a nice day :)

Hello Jack,  thank you for welcoming me to IUOMA.

  • Carmela Rizzuto

Jack, I picked up mail art from you yesterday. Many thanks for the multiple artworks. The waxed piece is wonderful...subtle coloration, restrained use of text, cut outs in the paper...I 'm enjoying all the details. The art will be added to my IUOMA photo stream and will be blogged soon at http://decordisart.blogspot.com/

Mail art will be coming your way within the next 4-6 weeks.

PS: You might enjoy the artworks of IUOMA members, KS Chambers and Carl Baker.

  • Carmela Rizzuto

Jack, thanks for the info about the pianola paper--I wondered what it was--it reminded me of the old IBM cards used for data entry. The cutouts add dimension, complexity and subtle texture. I'll be sending something to you soon.

FYI: I've been fortunate to receive wonderful mail art and am pleased to have added your work to my collection.

  • Mail Art Martha

Mailed to you a fat envelope which was quite over the USA maximum weight limit and seems to be on its way to you as it has not been returned to sender. Please let me know when it arrives. ☺

Hello, Jack! ☺ I received your postcards and tidbits, thank you! I am mailing the postcard from Prague to an artist in Austin, Texas today, and I think she will really like the art style a lot. I am so happy to know the handbound book with the monoprints arrived safely. It was a bit too big to try and put in an envelope, especially with the dangers of mass sorting machines in the USA. ^^' I was definitely over the weight limit on that one. I am sending you something very lovely today! I am off to the post office so I hope the mail snails and mail wallabies get this envelope to you soon.
