Quick reply: Thanks for your comment. Actually, I wasn't griping about not receiving a return mail art; an acknowledgement on my page that the recipient has received my piece would be great as it lets me know that my piece made it through the mail safely.

Hey. Received your latest mail-art post. env w/ mandala and cat [Panther? Leopard?]. The collage is quite elaborate, fish and planets intertwined. I love the harlequin pattern on the other piece — there is a story there as well with the re-occurrence of the cat. Thank you for everything and more too.

Cougar. Mea culpa . . . we have lots of cougars here in California. Aside from bears, cougars are our apex predator in the state . . . of course, eagles provide vigilance in the skies — as we say, death from above; but not to worry if you're as big as a human . . . small children, well . . . ;]

Yes, I know, you have lions living in South Africa and for that I am glad to only have to keep an eye out for cougars [and bears and coyotes, although, I am not too concerned about lone coyotes, it's just when they travel in packs that one needs to be wary]. Although, they are all fun to watch — from a distance and downwind.

I digress . . . Cougar!!!

Okay, perhaps I'm a little thick. Yes I know the other meaning of cougar. We have a lot of those here in California as well ;]

Thanks for TWO bits of Mail Art that arrived here yesterday -- the one with all the Valentine bookmark extracts (where did you find them?): althouigh that 'Valentine' is a she and I am not doesn't matter. Much. In fact 'Valentine' is a girl's name in France, and 'Valentin' is a boy's name. I was 'Val' or 'Valentine' in the UK and Holland, and professionally, too, when I had a profession, but am 'Mark' here in France now, 'cos Mark is a sexually unambiguos name, sweetie, so gizza kiss

AND for the other one (Mail Art, not kiss), and the letter and goodies, also thanks. I'll reply to the letter in whatever it is that I send you back. It might be another 'Do Not Open' type piece, but I'm sure you'll take no notice of the instructions. No-one ever listens to me anyway -- not even the cats these days.

Thanks, Petropetal -- yes the physical adds a much need dimension. And presentation matters. I didn't want to send the piece I sent to you folded -- messed up the aesthetic, but to send it flat would of cost 9 times as much. Trade offs. Kind of like life itself.

Hello M'Lady!  I'm getting worried about my mailman as it seems much of what I have sent out recently is MIA (just like JessiebyDesign) what is up with that? anyway,thanks for the awesome trashpo you sent. very ingenius idea.  i posted it in the trashpo group but now I am confuzzled if I posted it on FB or here, both or neither:_)  too much to keep track of but it will be here for all to see.  did you get the collage piece I sent ever?  you didn't mention it and I sent it out within a few days of you agreeing to one.  lmk!!!!

yes!! except I'm glad not to hear his whiny little voice anymore. It bugs me.  I feel a lot of my mail hasn't been arriving lately so I hope it's not a case of postal workers going postal. always hear these stories and even one recently, where the postman just dump all the mail somewhere. One guy had it all in his house.  Have an excellent weekend m'lady!!!!

I know they are under a lot of pressure and if they could be replaced with robots completely, the USPS would, but yes, it's a travesty to f**** with the mail. What is the occasion on Monday? 

"...yes, I know...you can't remember what you said!!"  The brightness of your perception is something to write to Patland about.    

"Dont worry it was all good and meaningful to a mail artist..." Frequent journeys Earth-Patland have stolen my mind and as a consequence it keeps producing that kind of senseless sentences I use on my envelopes.

I now have a sick child under 2. I can't win.
