Welcome aboard Holly. Good Mail Day is a terrific book, and you can find Jenni as part of our IUOMA Mail Art 365 group. Watch your mail box, you'll find something there pretty soon.
The fiber arts group is alive and well! Send fiber art to people in that group or contact them. Boo Cartledge does some nice work. Pamela Campbell too. There's lots of us. Just check their site to make sure they're still active before you mail anything. I recently sent mail to 5 people who have dropped out of mail art. :-( Send me something!
This is a friendly welcome to the network, from a friendly mail artist living in a friendly country. A good starting around here seems to be snail mail art exchange. I would like to be the other side on this very beginning with you at IUOMA. Your envelope should read as follows:
Patricio Duprat
Av. Paraná, 1489 apto. 1004

I look forward to see your piece arriving on the mail. I will send mine to you after receiving yours. It’s my promise. Patricio
Mmmm....tamales.... What a cool card. Thank you! You have inspired me to bust out the sewing machine and turn on the oven... I WILL have essence of tamale smell on the next mailing.
Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. I have been away at a professional conference in Orlando. What a long strange trip it's been (can you say pervasive Disney occupation?). But I'm back in Austin where it's forcasted to be 105 today, and I'm waiting for the air conditioner repair man as it's 82 degrees in my house at 8 am. Warmer than outside. I doubt I'll be doing any mail art...
Tamales of a different sort arrived today. I love this mail and will blog it soon. I had NO idea that hot tamales candy came in 3 different flavors--hot, hot, and hotter? love how you put organically grown on there. sewing through cardboard had to be fun. oddly the card came with .35 postage due for unknown reasons. It's even smaller than a standard postcard?! they didn't make me pay it though. Thanx Holly!
Hi Holly - I saw your great origami cranes... maybe you'd like to participate in the Peace Crane Project here at IUOMA. We're more than halfway to our goal of a thousand paper cranes for Japan. You can check out the whole project on the Group page:
Thanks for my Judy Garland/Dia de Los Muertos card. I starting singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow the minute I saw the card. Oh Judy, Poor Judy, your card is much appreciated.
